A Founder and Managing Partner of Hanbury Wealth, with 21 years’ experience working with clients as a professional independent financial adviser. After qualifying in 1995, Chris worked for an independent brokerage and then a firm of accountants.
In 2003 he joined an IFA firm, specialising in high net worth clients and in 2010, he established Hanbury Wealth. As Managing Partner, Chris has overall responsibility for the business to ensure it remains well placed to meet the evolving requirements of a professional financial planning practice in the financial services industry.
Chris continues to take a proactive and hands on approach, by leading the team of advisers. Chris has an enormous amount of financial planning experience and continues to spend a considerable amount of time working with clients and professional connections of the practice.
Mandy obtained her BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Psychology at the University of Reading in 2003. She received her Diploma in Financial Services in 2010, and her Investment Management Certificate (IMC) in 2013. Shortly after University, Mandy, began her Wealth Management career in the city of London, working predominantly with high net worth individuals and in particular, partners within magic circle law firms. She joined Hanbury Wealth in 2010, and was promoted to partner at the beginning of 2016.
Derek has over 30 years' experience in financial services working with companies such as HSBC, AXA and St James' Place. He specialises in pensions and investments, providing excellent advice, innovative ideas and solutions.
Derek has many years’ corporate experience dealing with employee benefits and company pension schemes, especially final salary schemes as an adviser and also a Trustee, advising on funds from £5m to £250m.
Chris has in depth knowledge of pensions and retirement planning. Chris commenced his financial services career in 2003, working for a wealth management and tax planning firm that specialised in high net worth lawyers and solicitors.
Before joining Hanbury Wealth, Chris was responsible for running the individual advice proposition of a large employee benefits firm, delivering advice to help individuals work towards and meet their retirement goals.
Kim has been providing financial advice for over 20 years, working with companies such as Frizzell Financial Planning and Affinity Financial Awareness. Both providing investment and retirement advise to the public sector. She has specialised in investment, and retirement advice to the Home Office, Metropolitan Police and other public sector departments.
Richard has over 19 years' experience in financial services working with companies such as Coutts, Towers Perrin, Foster Denovo and Canada Life, spending the vast majority of this time working in compliance and risk monitoring functions. Before joining Hanbury Wealth, Richard was responsible for the training and development of a team of advisers within a large wealth management firm.
Richard is the Managing director of Gemini Compliance Solutions Limited, and provides compliance consultancy to Hanbury Wealth. Richard has specialised in offering compliance support services to directly authorised IFAs since 1995. Richard's monthly visits to Hanbury Wealth provide an additional layer of client "peace of mind" through an external view on the advice given throughout the firm. Richard will select cases at random to establish whether the firm has given appropriate advice and that it has been communicated clearly. He will review all marketing material to ensure it is clear, fair and not misleading in any way and also acts as a vital sounding-board to discuss regulatory changes and new rules ensuring they are implemented appropriately.
